Your Questions Answered
Below you’ll find answers to a few of the more common questions I’ve received. If you didn’t find the answer you were looking for, feel free to contact me for more information. I’m always happy to hear from people who are interested in counseling.
What are your fees and cancellation policy?
Fees: $90.00-150.00 per session.
Initial individual session $100 (55 - 60 min.)
Follow up individual sessions $90 (50 - 55 min.)
Couple's sessions $125 (55 - 65 min.)
Couple's sessions $150 (90 min.)
I accept cash, debit/credit, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards, and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.
Insurance: Since many insurance companies make use of medical models that conflict with individual progress and effective treatment, I do not accept direct payment from insurance providers. If you wish to submit a claim to your provider I can provide documentation. If you have questions I am happy to discuss this in greater detail.
You may cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance by calling or emailing. I understand that sometimes life happens and allow one missed session or late cancelation without penalty. However, I charge $45 for any missed appointment after the first missed appointment.
What ages do you work with?
I counsel teens and adults from 12 years old and up.
What is your approach?
I use a non-judgemental, holistic approach exploring a person's emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual experience. I have experience working in an agency using trauma informed and evidenced based approaches. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Level 1 of the Gottman Method. However, I am always learning and growing so I utilize a person centered, integrative approach and believe that healing can happen through an authentic human connection. My passion is to empower individuals, couples, and families to live life to the fullest using a strengths-based model.
